I live in Claregalway, Co. Galway, Ireland with my wife Mary, son Mark (8) and daughter Emma (5). I work in a University in Ireland as the University WWW technologist. My wife, Mary, is a student in the same college. She went back to college to study Arts in 2004. Having achieved her bachelors degree in 2007; and a Masters in History, in September 2008; she is now working on her PhD in History, which she plans to complete by 2011.
Work:
I'm the WWW Technologist in the National University of Ireland, Galway, where I'm responsible for NUI Galway's web & database servers and site functionality. I code the client-side stuff like the high-contrast switching, text zoom and link search as well as the server-side, database driven stuff like the internal content management system.
Study:
I am undertaking a Masters degree in Software and Information Systems by distance learning. This is taking up most of my spare time, and will continue to until it finishes in September 2010.
